Ducks Wrap Up Play at the NCI

NORTH PLAINS, Ore. – Oregon wrapped up play at the Nike Collegiate Invitational Tuesday Witch Hollow at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club with a 9-over par final round to finish in 14th place.
How it Happened: Nate Stember got off to a hot start, with an eagle on his second hole of the day at the par-5 11th. He stumbled before the turn, though, with three bogeys and a birdie in a five-hole stretch to shoot even on the back. The freshman shot 1 over on the front nine to finish the day with a 1-over 72 and tied for 30th at 1 over for the tournament.
Yin Ho Yue also turned in a 1-over 72 to finish the week 4 over and tied for 44th. He made three bogeys on the back nine, but added birdies at 16 and 18 to turn at 1 over. Yue played a steady front nine making a birdie at six and a bogey at seven along with seven pars to shoot even.
Kevin Geniza shot a 2-over 73 and came in tied for 44th as well, shooting a bogey-free 1-under 34 on the front nine before going 3 over on the front.
Oklahoma claimed the team title while the Sooners' Logan McAllister earned medalist honors at 11 under.
