Ducks Cap Off Weekend at Husky Invite

SEATTLE, Wash. – Rifanty Kahfiani and Julia Eshet each finished off unbeaten weekends of singles play while Oregon's trio of freshmen had productive days on the final day of action at the Husky Invitational.
How it Happened: Kahfiani swept through her opening round match against Idaho's Melissa Huchet, 6-4, 6-4, before topping Washington's Vanessa Wong, 6-3, 6-4. The senior then took a three-set thriller against Antonia Balzert of Colorado, 2-6, 6-3, 7-5 in her final singles match before winning both her doubles matches, paired with Allison Mulville and Uxia Martinez Moral.
Eshet began her weekend with a dominant 6-1, 6-1 win over Illana Oleynik of Idaho before sweeping her next two singles matches. She won both her doubles matches, 6-1 and 6-4, paired with freshman Lillian Mould before dropping her final doubles match.
Freshmen Uxia Martinez Moral, Lillian Mould and Myah Petchey all went 2-1 in singles play over the weekend while Martinez Moral and Mould both went 2-1 in doubles play.
