11/19/19 | Football
Eugene, Ore. – Behind seven different players that have combined for an FBS-leading 203 starts, Oregon is one of 10 semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award, which honors the nation's top offensive line unit.
The Ducks' offensive line has three different members who have combined to win the Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week award seven times while no other team has won more than one. Sophomore left tackle Penei Sewell, senior left guard Shane Lemieux, senior center Jake Hanson, senior right guards Dallas Warmack and Brady Aiello and senior right tackle Calvin Throckmorton have paved the way for Oregon to score in 32 of 36 quarters during a nine-game win streak, including 21 of the last 22 quarters.
Oregon leads the Pac-12 in total rush yards (1,034) in the second half of games and ranks 19th nationally in yards per carry in the second half (5.30). The Ducks rank second in the Pac-12 Conference in scoring offense (37.9) and lead the league with 52 touchdowns.
Four different Oregon offensive linemen have been named to the PFF National Team of the Week, while the line has allowed just five sacks on the season according to PFF.
The Joe Moore Award voting committee will announce its selection of finalists on Dec. 10, and the selection of the 2019 Joe Moore Award winner will be made public after a surprise visit to the winning university's campus in late December.
