Nation's Best Gather for NCAA Championships

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The 2019 cross country season will come to a head for the Ducks Saturday at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. The women's 6K will go off at 8:15 a.m. (PT) with the men's 10K to follow at 9:15 a.m.
The national meet will run at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course for the 13th time. The NCAA meet will be streamed live on FloTrack (subscription required).
Earning a Spot
The Men of Oregon are making their 44th appearance at the NCAA Championships while the Women of Oregon are advancing to the national meet for the 31st time in program history. The teams earned at-large bids by way of their regional finishes.
In the Rankings
Heading into the national meet, the Men of Oregon are ranked No. 8 in the Nov. 18 national poll, while the Women of Oregon are up one spot to No. 18 in the rankings after a fourth-place finish in the region.
On the Biggest Stage
The Men and Women of Oregon have combined for 10 NCAA cross country titles. Three of those titles (2007/m, 2008/m, 2016/w) have come in Terre Haute, Ind., site of this year's championship meet.

In their first top-three showing since 2015, the Men of Oregon finished third in the team race. On the women's side, the Ducks used a pair of all-region performances to place fourth.
The top five men all finished inside the top 30 with four all-region runners (see below). In the women's race, sophomore Taylor Chiotti paced the Ducks in 13th place, up from her 99th-place finish last year at the regional meet.

The Ducks collected six all-region performers at the NCAA West Regional, awarded to those who were within the top 25 in the race.
