Notes: Civil War Weekend Starts Friday Night in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. - The first round of the Civil War series starts at 6 PM on Friday when the No. 3 ranked Ducks host No. 9 Oregon State at Matthew Knight Arena.

LAST YEAR VS. OREGON STATE

- OSU won a thriller in Corvallis, 85-79, in overtime. Sabrina Ionescu buried a three-pointer with six seconds left to tie the game, 75-75, and Mikayla Pivec missed a three at the buzzer to send the game to overtime. UO went scoreless for almost three minutes to open overtime as the Beavers outscored the Ducks, 10-4. Katie McWilliams' three with 15 seconds left put the game away.
- The Ducks got revenge two days later in Eugene, winning 75-63. Oregon used a dominant first half to lead, 40-18, at halftime. OSU cut the lead to 12 at 58-46, with 8:38 left in the fourth quarter but Oregon responded and a Maite Cazorla three put the Ducks up 19 points, 71-52, with 5:05 remaining.
- Ionescu tallied 50 total points, including 35 in Corvallis, and 17 assists in the two games.
- Ruthy Hebard had a big game in Corvallis with 24 points but scored just seven points in Eugene.
- It was the opposite for Satou Sabally, as she scored just three points on 1-of-7 shooting in Corvallis but went off for a team-high 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting in Eugene.
