EUGENE, Ore. – Looking to solidify a national spot in the always competitive DMR field, the Ducks posted a time of 9:28.62 Friday evening at the UW Last Chance College Elite meet in Seattle. Based on marks entering the weekend and earlier results, that time currently ranks No. 6 in the NCAA.
At the time for NCAA selections, the top 12 relay teams will advance to the national meet. The 2019 NCAA Indoor Championships will be held March 8-9 in Birmingham, Ala. Another loaded DMR race expected to impact the event standings will take place Saturday at the Alex Wilson Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.
The Ducks' quartet was composed of James West (1,200), Jacob Miller (400), Reed Brown (800) and Cooper Teare (1,600). In addition to posting a top-six national time, the foursome recorded the No. 5 performance in program history.
