Defending NCAA 1,500-meter champion Jessica Hull will open her outdoor season with a 5,000-meter race, a distance she has previously only raced at the Pac-12 Championships. In her last outing, Hull won NCAA indoor titles at 3,000 meters and in the distance-medley relay with fellow Stanford entrants Susan Ejore and Amanda Gehrich.
Ejore owns a personal best at 1,500 meters of 4:21.39 from last year's Stanford Invitational. Meanwhile, Gehrich is slated to take on her first-ever steeplechase. Freshman Taylor Chiotti, who ran an 800 at last weekend's SDSU Invitational, is set for her first collegiate 1,500 meters.
The duo of Phily Bowden and Carmela Cardama Baez will represent the Ducks over 10,000 meters in the final race of the night. Cardama Baez was an NCAA West Preliminary qualifier last year and Bowden has a pair of sub-33:00 10K performances dating back to her international experiences.
