STANFORD, Calif. – Oregon concluded play at The Goodwin by shooting 10 over in Saturday's final round at Stanford Golf Course to finish tied for ninth against an elite 27-team field at 27 over. Ryan Gronlund turned in the highest individual finish for the Ducks in a tie for 19th at 4 over.
How it Happened: Yin Ho Yue delivered the low round of the day for the Ducks, shooting a 1-over 71 to end up tied for 46th. He got off to a bit of a rough start, going 4 over through 10 holes, but went bogey free over his final eight holes while making three birdies finish 8 over for the tournament.
Donald Kay came out strong, beginning his day with a birdie at the par-5 first hole, but dropped a couple of shots with bogeys at four and five. He made birdies at seven and eight and made the turn at 1 under. Kay made three bogeys on the back nine though to shoot a 2-over 72 for the second straight day.
Â
Edwin Yi shot a 3-over 73 while Kevin Geniza made three birdies in his final six holes to recover from a shaky start and shoot a 4-over 74. Gronlund was in the top five heading into the round but struggled in the final round, shooting a 6-over 76.
