After Cal got the second out, Tanner Smith walked to load the bases. Spencer Steer made the Golden Bears pay with a two-out, two-RBI single to give Oregon a 3-0 lead. Gabe Matthews loaded the bases when he was hit by a pitch, setting up DeLuca's big blast.
Oregon (23-18, 8-10 Pac-12) added a pair of runs in the top of the sixth to make it 9-0. The Ducks loaded the bases and scored on a Matthews' hit by pitch and a DeLuca walk.
Cal got the two back in its half of the inning, but Oregon answered with three runs in the top of the seventh.
