- Arizona leads the all-time series 23-15-1, as well as an 11-4 edge in games played in Tucson.
- Since baseball returned for the 2009 season at Oregon, the two teams have split 30 games.

- In addition to DeLuca's grand slam, JR SS Spencer Steer and JR LF Taylor Adams have each hit two.
- Shaun Chase hit two (vs. Arizona, vs. Pacific) in 2014, while A.J. Balta hit one (vs. Ohio State).

- Oregon has made a habit of playing close games with 21 of its 41 games decided by one or two runs.

- JR SS Spencer Steer (40), SO CF Jonny DeLuca (31) and JR 1B Gabe Matthews (30) have all have more than 30 RBI, while FR LF/RF Tanner Smith (28) is closing in on the mark.
- In addition to the 2015 team, the 2012 and 2013 teams had three players finish with more than 30 RBI.
- The 2014 team had four players reach 30 RBI, while the 2010 team had seven players finish with more than 30 RBI.
Steer's school-record hitting streak ends at 18 games
- JR SS Spencer Steer set a modern era school record with hits in 18 straight games.
- Steer's hitting streak started on March 24 when he had three hits against Arizona State and ran through April 20 against Stanford.
- Steer bested the previous record 15-game hitting streaks by Kyle Kasser (2017) and Kyle Garlick (2014)
- During the 18-game streak, Steer hit .392 with four home runs, 25 RBI, four doubles, 17 runs scored and has a .489 on base percentage with 10 walks and four HBP.
Steer sets school record for multi-RBI games, closing in on RBI record
- In addition to setting a new record for longest hitting streak, JR SS Spencer Steer now owns the school record for multiple-RBI games.
- The Ducks' 3-hitter picked up a pair of multi-RBI games in the series at Cal to pass Ryon Healy (2011-13) and Mitchell Tolman (2013-15) for the all-time lead. Healy had 31 in his career, while Tolman owned the old school record with 32.
- Steer also moved into third all-time in career RBI in the Cal series passing Kyle Garlick (2011-14).
- He added an RBI at San Jose State to run his career total to 112, six behind Healy for second all-time and 16 behind the all-time leader Tolman.
- Steer is also climbing the career top 10 in multi-hit game. He had two at Cal to tie Aaron Payne (2011-14) for eighth with 41. He needs four more to tie Brett Thomas for seventh.
- He is fourth all-time in HBP with 36 and needs three more to pass Jack Marder (2010-11) and tie Mitchell Tolman (2013-15) for second.
- Steer is tied with Scott Heineman (2012-15) and Danny Pulfer (2009-11) for fifth in career doubles and needs three more to tie Brett Thomas (2011-13) for fourth.
Steer with third single-season top-10 multi-RBI games, other top 10 lists in sight
- For the third time in his career, JR SS Spencer Steer has a top 10 season in multi-RBI games at Oregon.
- Steer had two multi-RBI games against Cal to move his season total to 12, which is tied with Marcus Piazzisi (2010) for the fifth most in a season.
- His 11 multi-RBI games last season ranks in a tie for seventh all time, while his 10 in 2017 ranked in a tie for ninth (but has since fallen to tie for 11th).
- Steer is also eyeing his third top 10 season in hit by pitches. He has 11 entering the Arizona series, which is one out of the top 10. His 13 HBP in 2017 ranks in a tie for seventh all time while his 12 last season is tied for 10th (with teammate JR C Cameron Campbell this season).
- Steer needs two RBI at Arizona this weekend to crack the single-season top 10. He has 40 and two more would put him in a five-way tie for eighth.
Steer leads Oregon in most career offensive categories
- JR INF Spencer Steer has started 149 games in the infield during his two-plus seasons at Oregon, with 107 starts coming at third base and 42 at shortstop.
- The Long Beach, Calif., native is the Ducks' active leader in games started, at bats (540), runs (85), hits (158), doubles (31), triples (5), RBI (112), HBP (36), multi-hit games (41) and multi-RBI games (33).
Steer claims national, Pac-12 honors after OSU win and WSU series win
- JR SS Spencer Steer earned NCBWA National Hitter of the Week honors leading the Ducks to a win over No. 7 Oregon State on April 9 and a series win at Washington State April 12-14.
- Collegiate Baseball also named Steer one of its players of the week while College Sports Madness honored him as the National Fielder of the Week.
- Steer claimed his first Pac-12 Conference Player of the Week award as well, becoming the first Oregon position player to win the award since Scott Heineman on May 25, 2015.
- Steer batted .474 (9-for-19) with three home runs (2 grand slams) and 12 RBI while slugging .947 with a .524 OPB.
- Steer hit .500 (7-for-14) with three home runs, 11 RBI, and five runs scored while finishing with a 1.143 slugging percentage and a .563 OBP in the series win at Washington State.
- In the series finale at WSU, Steer blasted two home runs including a 2-out grand slam to tie the game in the top of the ninth inning and send the game into extra innings.

Matthews has started school-record 130 straight games
- JR 1B Gabe Matthews heads into the Arizona series with 130 straight starts, 56 more than any other active Duck.
- Matthews has started 119 of those games at first base with the other 11 coming at designated hitter.
- The Salem, Ore., native has a career .286 batting average with 13 home runs, 83 RBI, 30 doubles and 70 runs scored.
- He's Oregon's active career leader in home runs and base on balls (81), which ranks fifth all-time.
- Matthews moved into sole possession of ninth passing SR RF/C Jakob Goldfarb (2015-pr.) and Kyle Garlick (2011-14) in career doubles in game one of the Stanford series.
DeLuca steps up power production over last 13 games
- SO CF Jonny DeLuca has been productive since the Fresno State finale on April 6 totaling 11 extra base hits after tallying just five in the first 29 games.
- DeLuca has four home runs, two triples and five doubles with 17 of his 31 RBI coming in those 13 games.
- In the Washington State series, he went 2-for-6 with a double and triple in game one, 1-for-6 with a double in game two before going hitless in game three.
- At Gonzaga, DeLuca was 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a stand-up triple off the top of the right-center field wall and a double.
- Against Cal, DeLuca hit a pair of home runs. He had a two-run shot in game two and a grand slam in the finale.
- He finished with a career-high five RBI in the Sunday game at Cal.
DeLuca sets freshman home run record at Oregon
- SO CF Jonny DeLuca set an Oregon freshman record for home runs last season with six.
- DeLuca started 54 of Oregon's 55 games in center field last season, including the last 32.
- He has started all 35 games in 2019 in CF.
- He tied for the team lead with six home runs, while finishing second with 32 RBI last season.
- DeLuca hit his first home run of the 2019 season against Fresno State in game two of the doubleheader.
- He added a two-run homer at Gonzaga in the top of the eighth inning.
Goldfarb brings experience to Ducks' lineup
- C/OF Jakob Goldfarb returned for his senior season after leading the Ducks in hitting in 2018.
- The Ducks' three-year letterman batted .308 with six home runs, 29 RBI and a team-high 14 stolen bases as a junior.
- Goldfarb has made 139 career starts with 117 in right field, 10 at DH, seven at catcher and five in left field.
- Goldfarb started 53 games last season, 44 as a freshman in 2015 and 19 as a sophomore in 2016.

- Goldfarb is Oregon's active leader in stolen bases (20) and games played (170).

Novitske just second Ducks with three 4-hit games in a season
- FR 3B Sam Novitske has accomplished something that only one other Duck has ever done.
- The Ducks leadoff hitter had his third 4-hit game of the season at San Jose State on April 29, something that only Mitchell Tolman (2013-15) has achieved.
- All three of Novitske's 4-hit games have come in the last 10 games (since April 13).
- His first 4-hit game was a 4-for-6 effort at Washington State on April 13 when he drove in two runs.
- Three games later, he went 4-for-5 with two runs scored in the Stanford series opener.
- At San Jose State, Novitske was 4-for-5 with a pair of runs scored.
- Tolman had his three 4-hit games in 2015 against St. John's (March 7), at UC Riverside (March 24) and at Portland (April 7).
- Novitske has half of Oregon's 4-hit games.
Novitske excelling in leadoff spot
- True FR 3B Sam Novitske has provided a spark at the top of the Oregon lineup.
- Novitske has reached base in 38 of 42 games, including 31 games where he has reached base multiple times.
- In 14 of the 35 games, he has reached base three times, while reaching base four times five times and five times twice.
- Novitske reached base by hit, walk, HBP in 10 games before reaching on an error in game 11. He followed reaching via H/BB/HBP in the next four.
- After not reaching base in the Washington series opener, he got three hits in game two and reached three times (hit, 2 walks) in game three.
- Against ASU, he reached in all three games including twice in games one and three.
- In the midweek games in Utah, he reached twice at BYU and three times at Utah Valley.
- Against Utah, he was on twice in games one and three, and once in game two.
- In the Fresno State series, he reached three times in game three, twice in game four and once in game one. Game two was just the second game all year he did not reach base.

Smith delivers in the clutch
- FR OF Tanner Smith has already shown he has the clutch gene.
- The Ducks' lefty delivered a walk-off sacrifice fly in a 3-2 win in game one of the series against Saint Mary's.
- Ten games later, Smith broke a 7-7 tie in the top of the ninth inning with a RBI base hit in an 8-7 win in game four of the Hawaii series.
- On April 9 at Oregon State, he had a 2-out, 2-run RBI single in the eighth to push Oregon's lead to 11-8.
- In the Gonzaga win, Smith hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning to put the Ducks ahead in a 7-6 win.
- Smith is third on the team with a .307 batting average, while reaching base at a .398 clip.
Zavala making instant impact
- True FR DH Aaron Zavala has been impressive in Oregon's first 42 games.
- The Salem, Ore., native is fifth on the team in multi-RBI games (5), while also ranking fifth in multi-hit games (10).
- Five of Zavala's multi-hit games are 3-hit games, while one is a 4-hit game.
- His first four 3-hit games came in Oregon's first six games, marking the first time in modern Oregon history that a Duck player has had four 3-hit games in any 6-game stretch.
- He had a career-high four hits (4-for-4) in game one of the WSU series.
- In Oregon's doubleheader sweep of Fresno State, he reached base in all nine-plate appearances (four hits, four walks, one error).
Young guns make big contribution
- Seven freshmen have started games for Oregon in 2019, including four who have started at least 36 games.
- 3B Sam Novitske has started all 42 games this season (2 at 2B), while RF/LF Tanner Smith and 2B Max Foxcroft have started 38 games. DH Aaron Zavala has made 36 starts, including two in right field.
- 3B/2B Kyle Froemke and LF Vinny Tosti have started four games, while DH A.J. Miller has two starts.
- C James Bell saw his first action of the season against Washington playing in all three games.
- C Heath Pickhardt saw his first action of the season in game three of the ASU series and he played in a game at Utah and a game against Fresno State.
- Oregon's eight freshmen position players have combined for 162 hits with 27 doubles, two triples, 99 runs scored, 85 RBI and 22 stolen bases.
- They have 35 multi-hit games, including 12 3-hit games and four 4-hit games.
- Since baseball returned in 2009, 24 freshmen have been in the opening day lineup for the Ducks.
- The 2019 team's four opening day starters tied the 2011 team for the most, while both 2009 and 2010 teams had three freshmen starters.
Yovan named to Golden Spikes Award watch list and three preseason All-America Teams
- JR RHP Kenyon Yovan earned a number of preseason honors heading into the 2019 season.
- Yovan is one of 55 players on the preseason Golden Spikes Award watch list.
- He was named second-team preseason All-America by both D1Baseball and Collegiate Baseball and third-team preseason All-America by the NCBWA.
- Yovan entered his junior season with a 7-5 career record and a 2.70 ERA with 20 saves.
- His 98 strikeouts last season were the fourth most in school history, trailing only two Major League Baseball first-round draft picks (David Peterson, Tyler Anderson-twice).
- Yovan's 15 saves during his freshman season are the fourth most in school history.
- Yovan ranks second all-time in career saves at Oregon with 20 and is sixth in games finished with 30.
- Yovan has 135 career strikeouts with just 45 base on balls, while holding opposing hitters to a .206 batting average.
- Yovan is one of just five Ducks named first-team All-Pac-12 Conference in back-to-back seasons since baseball returned to Eugene.
- He was named an All-American following his freshman season by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Collegiate Baseball.
- Named a freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball, Baseball America, D1Baseball, the NCBWA and Perfect Game after 2017 season.
Nelson named preseason All-American
- JR RHP Ryne Nelson was named third-team preseason All-America by Baseball America in a vote of MLB scouting directors.
- Baseball America ranked Nelson as the No. 11 overall collegiate prospect and Kenyon Yovan as the No. 25 prospect.
- Nelson has made five career starts including his four starts this season.
- In his first start, he threw one inning as a freshman in 2017 in a midweek game at Oregon State.
- Nelson's other 38 appearances have come out of the bullpen, including a scoreless 5.2 inning stint against Washington on March 17 where he allowed just three hits while fanning eight and walking one.
- He has three saves this season, getting one at Utah Valley, another in the first game of the doubleheader against Fresno State and game two at Washington State.
- Nelson picked up saves in both games of a doubleheader against Washington State on April 6, 2018.
- In both games of the doubleheader, Nelson touched 99 miles per hour on the radar gun.
Kafka makes move into weekend rotation
- After spending most of his freshman season pitching out of the bullpen, SO RHP Cullen Kafka is a part of Oregon's rotation this season.
- Kafka allowed four runs on six hits with three strikeouts and three walks in his first start of the season.
- He went six innings allowing three runs on five hits with three walks and seven Ks in a win over Saint Mary's in his second start.
- Kafka made his first Friday night start vs. LMU allowing one run on four hits with 7 Ks and four walks.
- In his second Friday night start at Hawaii, he got the win after allowing just one run on six hits in seven innings with five Ks.
- Kafka gave up seven runs (four earned) on 11 hits in 4.2 innings against Washington.
- Against Arizona State, Kafka allowed seven runs (six earned) in 3.1 innings while striking out three and walking four.
- Against Utah, he allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits in six innings with five Ks.
- Kafka made his fourth quality start against Fresno State allowing three runs on six hits in 7.0 innings with seven strikeouts and two walks.
- He had his fifth quality start at Washington State allowing two runs on six hits in six innings with six Ks and two walks.
- He allowed five runs on seven hits in 5.2 innings vs. No. 2 Stanford with four walks and 5 Ks.
- Kafka was sharp in the series finale at Cal throwing five shutout innings while allowing just three hits with two walks and 2 Ks.
- Kafka was 3-2 as a true freshman appearing in 16 games while making six starts.
Ahlstrom expected to return to rotation at Arizona
- SO LHP Robert Ahlstrom is expected to return to the Ducks' rotation at Arizona after missing the Stanford and California series with an illness.
- Ahlstrom made his first "Friday" night start at Utah allowing no earned runs on five hits in a season-best 7.1 innings pitched while matching a season high with 8 Ks.
- The junior college transfer earned the Friday spot after dominating Arizona State, the nation's second-best hitting team.
- Ahlstrom held the Sun Devils scoreless over six innings allowing just five hits while fanning a career-best eight and walking just one.
- Ahlstrom has not allowed an earned run in three of his five starts (5.0 scoreless innings at Hawaii).
Two walk-offs ruin Bay Area trip
- Oregon went 1-3 on its trip to the Bay Area losing two of three at Cal as well as a single game at San Jose State.
- The Ducks led heading into the ninth inning in three of the four games, but Cal rallied to win on Friday with two ninth inning solo home runs and SJSU won on Monday scoring two runs in the ninth.
- JR 1B Gabe Matthews and FR LF Tanner Smith led Oregon in the Cal series with both batting .417 (5-for-12) in the series.
- Matthews hit two home runs, drove in four runs and scored four times while slugging .917 and reaching base at a .563 clip.
- Smith had a double, RBI and a team-high five runs scored while finishing with a .533 OBP.
- SO CF Jonny DeLuca hit two home runs, including a grand slam, and drove in eight runs against the Bears.
- JR SS Spencer Steer drove in six runs during the road trip with five against Cal and one against SJSU.
Depleted Ducks swept by No. 2 Stanford
- Oregon played No. 2 Stanford shorthanded last week in what resulted in a Cardinal sweep.
- SO LHP Robert Ahlstrom, Oregon's No. 1 starter, missed the weekend with an illness forcing SO RHP Cullen Kafka and JR LHP Cole Stringer to pitch on two days less (coupled with Thursday-Saturday games because of Easter) rest.
- The Ducks dropped the opener 5-4 before Stanford took command in games two and three.
- Ducks' bats big in series win at Washington State
- Oregon won two of three games at Washington State thanks to an offensive outburst.
- Oregon batted .325 (39-for-120) in the series with six home runs (two grand slams), two triples and six doubles.
- The team slugged .533 and reached base at a .448 clip.
- Oregon won game one 21-3, tying for the third-most runs scored in the modern era of Ducks' baseball.
- Oregon picked up an 11-8 win in game two, before losing game three 8-7 in 10 innings.

Oregon gets 3-run ninth-inning bomb from Smith to win at Gonzaga
- FR RF Tanner Smith hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning to give the Ducks a come-from-behind win over Gonzaga on Monday.
- Smith's bomb helped the Ducks rally from a 6-2 deficit after seven innings.
- SO CF Jonny DeLuca added a two-run homer in the eighth to cut the lead to 6-4.
- FR 2B Kyle Froemke made a diving play to end the game to save two runs and secure the win.
Ducks split first two Civil War games with Oregon State
- Oregon scored four runs in the top of the eighth to break an 8-8 tie and went on to beat No. 7 Oregon State 12-8 on April 9. The win evened the season series at 1-1.
- FR 3B Sam Novitske broke the eighth-inning tie with a 2-out RBI single, before FR RF Tanner Smith followed with a 2-RBI single and JR SS Spencer Steer capped the rally with a RBI base hit.
- Five Ducks -- Smith, Steer, SO LF Evan Williams, FR DH Aaron Zavala and JR C Cameron Campbell -- had two hits vs. the Beavers in UO's 13-hit attack.
- Oregon was 9-for-11 with RISP in the win.
- In the first meeting on March 12, Oregon had the tying run at second and the go-ahead run at first at No. 6 Oregon State but could not score.
- The Ducks rallied from a 2-0 deficit to take a 4-2 lead and then cut a 7-4 OSU lead to one run.
- SR RF Jakob Goldfarb had three hits and scored two runs for Oregon, while JR 1B Gabe Matthews finished with two hits and two runs scored.
- In the two games, Oregon is out-hitting Oregon State .319 to .230 and has nine more hits, including four more extra-base hits.
Ducks salvage series split against Fresno State with doubleheader sweep
- Oregon swept a doubleheader on Saturday, April 6, to earn a series split with Fresno State.
- The Bulldogs won game one 14-2 and game two 5-1, before the Ducks came back to win game three 5-3 and the series finale 8-7.
- FR DH Aaron Zavala and FR 2B Max Foxcroft led the Ducks in the series with Zavala hitting .455 with a .647 OBP and Foxcroft batting .417 with three RBI.
- JR 1B Gabe Matthews had a two-RBI walk-off single in the series finale and finished with four RBI in the series.
- SO CF Jonny DeLuca broke a 3-3 tie in the seventh inning of game three of the series and had two RBI in the finale with a game-tying home run in the sixth and a game-tying ground out in the eighth.
Ducks sweep Utah
- Oregon swept Utah to cap a five-game spring break road trip to the Beehive State.
- The Ducks' sweep was the third of the season with Oregon taking all three games earlier this season against Saint Mary's and Loyola Marymount.
- The road sweep was the first for UO since it opened the 2016 season with three straight wins at San Diego State.
- It was the first Pac-12 road sweep since a three-game sweep at Utah in May 2015.
- Oregon's last sweep of a Pac-12 series at PK Park was also against Utah in May 2018.
Ducks split midweek games with BYU and Utah Valley
- Oregon split a pair of midweek games losing 7-3 at BYU and beating Utah Valley 12-9 in Orem.
- The Ducks led the BYU game 3-2 late, but BYU scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth to win the game.
- Oregon bounced back with a 12-9 win over Utah Valley.
- JR 1B Gabe Matthews led the Ducks in the two games with five RBI, including a career-high four at UVU, while going 3-for-7 with a home run, two runs scored and two walks.
