
Steer, Nelson Named First-Team All-Pac-12 Conference

Eugene, Ore. – Junior infielder Spencer Steer and junior right-handed pitcher Ryne Nelson have been named first-team All-Pac-12 in a vote of the conference's coaches, while Steer was also named to the All-Defensive Team.
Sophomore outfielder Jonny DeLuca and junior first baseman Gabe Matthews both claimed honorable mention All-Defensive Team honors. Steer is also one of seven Ducks' named to the Pac-12 honorable mention all-academic team. He is joined by Taylor Adams, Jonny DeLuca, Peyton Fuller, Jakob Goldfarb, Kolby Somers and Evan Williams.

- Led the Ducks in eight offensive categories including batting average (.349), hits (75), RBI (57), doubles (13), slugging percentage (.502) and on-base percentage (.456).
- 57 RBI were one of four school records set during junior season.
- Also broke Mitchell Tolman's career RBI mark with 129, while setting a new career record for multiple-RBI games (37) and tying the single-season record for multi-RBI games (16).
- Tied for fifth in school history with 75 hits in 2019, while finishing fifth in multi-hit games (22).
- Ranks sixth all-time in career hits (177) and fourth in career doubles (36).
- Set a school-record with 18-game hitting streak in 2019.
- Ranked in top 10 in Pac-12 Conference in five categories in overall games, including fifth in RBI, seventh in hits and ninth in both batting average and on-base percentage.
- Ranked in the top 10 in Pac-12 Conference only games in six categories, including first in doubles, second in RBI, fifth in hits, sixth in OBP and seventh in batting average.
- Named NCBWA National Hitter of the Week, Pac-12 Player of the Week and one of Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the Week following Washington State series.
- Just second Duck to be named to Pac-12 Conference All-Defensive Team.
- Led Pac-12 Conference in strikeouts (104), while finishing tied for third in batters struck out looking (31) and eighth in saves.
- Ranked fourth in strikeouts (63) in Pac-12 only games, while finishing third in batters struck out looking (20) and seventh in saves (2).
- Fourth all-time in Oregon history in single-season strikeouts with 104.
- Just one of three Ducks to have 100 Ks in a season joining David Peterson (2017) and Tyler Anderson (2010, 2011).
- Second in single-season strikeouts looking at Oregon with 31.
- Ranks eighth all-time at Oregon with eight career saves and seventh in games finished (29).
- Started all 57 Oregon games in center field.
- Team-best 88 game active start streak.
- Committed just one error during junior season in 498 chances.
- Had school-record streak of 137 consecutive starts snapped on May 14.
