05/06/19 | Baseball
Oregon returns home after a seven-game road swing to host Portland in a non-conference game Tuesday at 6 p.m. at PK Park. The Ducks will then host Oregon State in the Civil War series Friday through Sunday with games beginning at 7 p.m., 2 p.m. and 12 p.m.
Tuesday's game will be streamed live on Facebook in addition to being shown on the Oregon Live Stream. All three games of the Civil War series will be shown live on Pac-12 Networks.
Series History - Portland
The Ducks hold a 102-38 edge in the all-time series as well as a 31-10 advantage in games played in Eugene. Oregon is looking to snap a four-game losing streak at the hands of the Pilots. Portland swept the two games last season after winning the 2017 season series finale. Earlier this year, Portland rallied to beat Oregon 5-3 on March 5. Before the UP winning streak, the Ducks had won the previous seven games. UO has won 22 of 33 since 2009.
Series History - Oregon State
Oregon trails the all-time series between the two teams, 184-163. Oregon snapped a 10-game losing streak at the hands of the Beavers on April 9 in Corvallis. OSU holds a 38-36 edge in games played in Eugene since 1963. The two teams have split a pair of games in Corvallis this season. In those two games, Oregon is out-hitting Oregon State .319 to .230 and has nine more hits, including four more extra-base hits.
Return Of The Bats
With 12 regular-season games still to play, Oregon's offensive output during the 2019 season has already surpassed its numbers from the 2017 and 2018 seasons in runs, home runs, RBI and walks. UO has already scored 272 runs this season, 36 more than last year and 25 more than 2017. The Ducks' 28 home runs this season is one more than their 2016 output and is three more than 2018 and nine more than 2017.
