ANTHONY HALL BECOMES FIRST RECRUIT OF WASIKOWSKI ERA

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head baseball coach Mark Wasikowski announced Thursday the signing of Anthony Hall to a National Letter of Intent.

Hall, who is the first player signed by Wasikowski since becoming the head coach at Oregon, was the 35th round draft pick of the Atlanta Braves in the 2019 MLB Draft.

"Anthony has proven to have some of the greatest power on the West Coast," Wasikowski said. "He is a big, strong, physical young man who is also extremely athletic and versatile enough to play several positions. Anthony's offensive skill set should bring a lot of excitement to the fans at PK Park."

Hall lettered three seasons at Point Loma High School in San Diego, Calif. The first baseman/outfielder batted .366 with 19 extra-base hits in 101 at bats as a senior and was named first-team All-San Diego City Conference Eastern League and second-team All-CIF San Diego Section. Hall hit four home runs with three triples and 12 doubles while driving in 33 runs.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Hall missed his junior season with an injury after batting .294 as a sophomore in 2017 and .304 as a freshman in 2016. During his three-year high school career, Hall batted .323 with four home runs, 49 RBI, five triples and 15 doubles.
