Oregon Announces 2022 Acrobatics and Tumbling Schedule
11/03/21 | Acrobatics & Tumbling
The Ducks will host three meets at Matthew Knight Arena in 2022.
EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon Acrobatics and Tumbling head coach Taylor Susnara announced the team's 2022 schedule, which features three home meets against NCATA postseason regulars, Thursday morning.
The Ducks will play host to both defending national champion Baylor (April 10) and 2021 national runner-up Azusa Pacific (March 25) over the course of a six-meet regular season.
"We are excited for a fresh start as we embark on the 2022 season with a new team and new goals. With a fairly 'young' roster, you can expect to see some new faces out on the mat this year. With that being said, our team moto is POWER — we have a ton of potential and are eager to bring consistency to our own definition of success." Susnara said. "We are looking forward to having our amazing fans back in Matthew Knight Arena on March 5th! Go Ducks!"
Oregon opens its season in February with consecutive road meets at Arizona Christian (February 12) and Baylor (February 27). The Ducks return home on March 5 to take on Gannon University, which just missed last season's condensed NCATA Championship field as the No. 5 team in the country.
In the second half of Oregon's season, the Ducks host 2021 national runner-up Azusa Pacific on March 25 before heading east to take on Quinnipiac on April 3. Oregon closes out the regular season with a rematch against Baylor on April 10.
The NCATA National Championships will take place on April 28-30. The championships are slated to return to their normal eight-team format after taking only four teams in 2021.
