Ducks Advance in Consolation Bracket

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon men's tennis doubles team of Ivailo Keremedchiev and Jesper Klöv-Nilsson advanced in the doubles consolation bracket today, with a win over Arizona (Eriksson Ziverts and Middleton) 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (8). They'll face the No. 14 ranked Tulsa on Saturday. The tandem defeated Wisconsin (Pratt and Vile) 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10) and Oklahoma State (Zink and Hammond) 6-2, 7-6(1) in qualifying, earning a place in the consolation bracket.
As one of eight teams remaining, the No. 12 ranked Ducks Joshua Charlton and Quinn Vandecasteele faced Ohio State's Justin Boulais and James Trotter on Friday Oct. 8. The duo battled and pushed both sets to the break, falling 6-7 (5), 6-4 (6).
The team advanced to the quarterfinals of the main draw at the ITA-All American after beating Stanford's Arthur Fery and Alexandre Rotsaert 6-1, 6-4 on Thursday, Oct. 7.
On Wednesday, Oct. 6, the pair beat Filip Malbasic and Herman Hoeyeraal of Arizona by a score of 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (6) to make it to the round of 16.
