NFL #ProDucks: Week 8

The midway point has arrived for the 2021 NFL regular season, and the Oregon football team has 29 former Ducks under contract with 21 different NFL teams. Going into week nine, 19 #ProDucks are on the active rosters of 16 different organizations.

DeForest Buckner and Ugochukwu Amadi were standouts among Oregon's #ProDucks for the second week in a row. Buckner came away with a sack for the third straight game, and Amadi posted a season-high for tackles while helping Seattle to a dominant win at home.

- LB Joe Walker played 19 snaps on special teams as the Cardinals suffered their first loss of the season, 24-21 to the Packers.
Carolina Panthers (4-4)
- RB Royce Freeman rushed a season-high six times for 25 yards in Carolina's 19-13 win over Atlanta.
Chicago Bears (3-5)
- CB Thomas Graham Jr. is currently on the Bears' practice squad.
Cleveland Browns (4-4)
- CB Troy Hill made six tackles, three solo, in Cleveland's 15-10 loss to the Steelers.
Dallas Cowboys (6-1)
- DT Austin Faoliu is currently on Dallas' practice squad.
Detroit Lions (0-8)
- OL Penei Sewell started his eighth straight game at left tackle as the Lions dropped to 0-8 with a 44-6 loss to Philadelphia. Sewell posted a solid 80.4 pass-blocking grade according to Pro Football Focus, allowing just one quarterback hurry in 39 opportunities.
- OL Tyrell Crosby is currently on Detroit's Reserve/Injured list.

Green Bay Packers (7-1)
- OL Jake Hanson played three snaps on special teams as the Packers handed Arizona its first loss of the season, 24-21, to improve to 7-1.
Houston Texans (1-7)
- TE Pharaoh Brown did not play in Houston's 38-22 loss to the Rams after sustaining a hamstring injury in practice leading up to the game.
- CB Terrance Mitchell made his seventh start of the season and recorded three tackles (two solo) while breaking up a pair of passes. Mitchell earned a 71.6 overall grade from PFF. Â
Indianapolis Colts (3-5)
- DE DeForest Buckner made two tackles and recorded a sack for the third straight game in the Colts' 34-31 overtime loss to the Titans. Buckner earned an 80.1 pass-rush grade by PFF, eighth-best among interior defensive linemen.
Kansas City Chiefs (4-4)
- OL Kyle Long is currently on the Chiefs' Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.
Las Vegas Raiders (5-2)
- OL Hroniss Grasu and QB Marcus Mariota took advantage of their bye week by attending Oregon's 52-29 win over Colorado in Autzen Stadium. Mariota was celebrating his 28th birthday, and both he and Grasu were recognized on the field during the game.

Los Angeles Chargers (4-3)
- QB Justin Herbert completed 18-of-35 passes for 223 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Chargers' 27-24 loss to New England. Herbert is currently tied for eighth in the NFL in passing touchdowns (16) and is 10th in passing yards (1,994).
- TE Hunter Kampmoyer is currently on the Chargers' practice squad.
Los Angeles Rams (7-1)
- LB Justin Hollins and TE Johnny Mundt are both currently on the Rams' Injured/Reserve list.
Miami Dolphins (1-7)
- S Jevon Holland made five tackles (four solo) and returned three punts for 12 yards in Miami's 26-11 loss to Buffalo. Holland played a season-high 81 total snaps against the Bills and earned a 70.6 overall grade from PFF.

- LB Troy Dye played 21 snaps on special teams in the Vikings' 20-16 loss to Dallas. Â
- DT Jordon Scott is currently on the Vikings' Reserve/Injured list.
New Orleans Saints (5-2)
- TE Juwan Johnson was targeted once but did not make a catch in New Orleans' 36-27 win over Tampa Bay.
- OL Calvin Throckmorton played 14 snaps as an extra offensive linemen against the Buccaneers, helping the Saints rush for 152 yards on 32 carries. Â Â
New York Giants (2-6)
- OL Shane Lemieux is currently on New York's Reserve/Injured list.
Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3)
- DE Henry Mondeaux played 16 defensive snaps and assisted on one tackle in Pittsburgh's 15-10 win over the Cleveland Browns.
San Francisco 49ers (3-4)
- DE Arik Armstead made four tackles, including three solo, in the 49ers' 33-22 win over Chicago.
- CB Deommodore Lenoir did not play against the Bears.
Seattle Seahawks (3-5)
- S Ugochukwu Amadi impressed for the second straight game in Seattle's 31-7 win over Jacksonville, making a season-high nine tackles (eight solo) while playing a season-high 65 snaps. Amadi also had a pass breakup against the Jaguars.
Tennessee Titans (6-2)
- S Brady Breeze did not play in Tennessee's 34-31 overtime win over the Colts.
Washington Football Team (2-6)
- DE Jalen Jelks is currently on Washington's Reserve/Injured list.
