
Bass, McKinley III Receive Weekly Conference Awards

EUGENE, Ore. — Verone McKinley III is the Pac-12 defensive player of the week and T.J. Bass is the conference's offensive lineman of the week following Oregon's 48-7 win over Stony Brook, the league office announced on Monday.
McKinley is the conference's defensive player of the week after being named the Bronko Nagurski national defensive player of the week following Oregon's win at Ohio State. Bass is the second Oregon O-lineman in as many weeks to earn the league honor; since the conference started the offensive lineman of the week award in 2019, a Duck has won it 12 out of 24 times.
The Ducks have earned at least one Pac-12 award in each of the first three weeks of the season, and six total so far in 2021. CJ Verdell (offense), Alex Forsyth (offensive lineman) and Bradyn Swinson (defensive lineman) were honored in week two, and Justin Flowe was the freshman of the week following week one.

» Tied for the team high with four knockdowns while helping pave the way for 173 rushing yards.
» Earned a stellar 93.5 run-blocking grade by Pro Football Focus, the top grade in the nation among guards and second-best nationally among all offensive lineman.
