Hansen Named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week

EUGENE, Ore. – After pitching a 3-0 shutout in No. 22 Oregon's regular season finale at Stanford on Sunday, Stevie Hansen has been named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Hansen yielded five hits and stranded five runners in recording the first seven-inning shutout of her career. She retired the last eight batters she faced on Sunday.

It was Hansen's 13th win of the season, which ranks eighth in the Pac-12.

For the weekend, Hansen pitched 12 innings and allowed three earned runs for a 1.75 ERA. She struck out five and didn't walk a batter.

It was the second shutout of the season for Hansen. She blanked Oregon State 5-0 in a rain-shortened five inning game on May 19.

The Ducks concluded the regular season at 31-17 overall and 10-14 in the Pac-12. Oregon is currently No. 15 in the latest NCAA RPI and has played the second-most difficult schedule in the nation in 2022.

The selection show for the 2022 NCAA Tournament will be Sunday at 4 p.m. (ESPN2).
