Surging Ducks Return To Autzen
Fresh off its most complete performance of the season, Oregon returns to Eugene to host California in the first of three November games at Autzen Stadium. The Ducks are up to a season-high No. 6 ranking in the Associated Press poll, and will be in the thick of the conversation when the first College Football Playoff rankings of 2023 are unveiled on Tuesday. Oregon took a 42-41-2 lead in the all-time series with the Golden Bears with last year's win in Berkeley, and have won 12 of the last 14 meetings. UO has not lost to Cal in Eugene since 2007.
Oregon Dominates Top-15 Matchup
The Ducks enter November squarely in the Pac-12 Championship hunt after an impressive 35-6 win at No. 13 Utah, ending the Utes' 18-game home streak and winning in Salt Lake City for the first time since 2016. Bo Nix continued to bolster his Heisman Trophy resume, completing 24-of-31 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns while also running for a score. Troy Franklin had another prolific day with eight receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown, and Tysheem Johnson paced the defense with his first career multi-interception game. Oregon's defense held a ranked opponent to six points or less on the road for the first time since 1989, holding the Utes to zero points and just 89 total yards in the second half. Johnson was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, while Nix earned his second Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honor.

Balanced Dominance
The Ducks have proven to be one of the most balanced and efficient teams in the nation this season. Oregon is in the top 15 for both scoring offense (3rd, 45.5 PPG) and scoring defense (11th, 15.6 PPG), and is one of just four teams in the top 20 for both total offense (2nd, 531.4 PPG) and total defense (16th, 303.6 YPG). The Ducks are one of three teams in the top 15 of both rushing offense (10th, 215.0 YPG) and rushing defense (13th, 95.63 YPG), and one of three in the top 15 of both sacks allowed (2nd, 4) and sacks (12th, 27). Oregon is the only team in the top 15 in all four of those metrics. UO also leads the nation with just two turnovers and is tied for 14th in turnover margin (+7). Oregon owns an overall grade of 93.0 from Pro Football Focus, No. 2 in the Pac-12 and No. 10 in the nation.
