Ducks Ready For 2023 NFL Combine
03/01/23 | Football
INDIANAPOLIS - Six former Oregon football standouts will participate in this week's 2023 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Ducks' six invitees are the most in the Pac-12, and just one short of the program record of seven set in 2007, 2002, 2015 and 2020. Oregon has six players competing at the NFL Combine for the second year in a row.
The Ducks will have three offensive players in Indianapolis along with three from the defensive side of the ball, including projected first-round pick Christian Gonzalez. The defensive back has been a consistent presence in the first round of mock drafts, even being projected as high as the top 10. Oregon is one of just three schools in the nation to have a top-10 pick in each of the last three NFL Drafts - Justin Herbert (No. 6, 2019), Penei Sewell (No. 7, 2020) and Kayvon Thibodeaux (No. 5, 2022).
Outside linebacker DJ Johnson and inside linebacker Noah Sewell will be the first Ducks to do on-field workouts on Thursday, with Gonzalez taking center stage on Friday. The offensive line trio of Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, T.J. Bass and Alex Forsyth will see the field on the final day of action on Sunday, after anchoring a 2022 Oregon offensive line that led the nation with just five sacks allowed.
HOW TO WATCH
The NFL Network and NFL.com are providing live coverage of on-field drills Thursday, March 2, to Sunday, March 5. The coverage will begin at 12 p.m. PT on Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. on Sunday.
