
Ducks Sign Consensus Top-10 Recruiting Class

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon men's basketball will welcome a consensus top-10 recruiting class next season.

The Ducks class is ranked 10th by 247Sports, sixth by ESPN, eighth by Rivals and third by On3, with all three of the incoming freshmen ranked in the top 40 by 247Sports, ESPN, Rivals and On3.

Five-star forward Kwame Evans Jr. is ranked 13th by ESPN and 14th by 247Sports. Evans Jr. most recently competed in the McDonald's All-American game, scoring five points for the victorious East Team. The native of Baltimore attended Monteverde Academy in Florida, helping the team to a No. 2 ranking in ESPN's high school top 25.

Portland native Mookie Cook competed against his future teammate in the McDonald's All-American game and scored eight points for the West Team. The six-foot-seven forward's AZ Compass high school team went 24-6 this season and finished fourth in the ESPN high school top 25.

Jackson Shelstad is a two-time Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year from West Linn. The point guard averaged 27 points, five rebounds and five assists, earning a spot on the Nike Hoop Summit Team USA roster. He scored eight points after a warm welcome from the Portland crowd and helped Team USA to a victory.
