Cowley named an All-American

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon shortstop Drew Cowley was named to the Collegiate Baseball All-America Third-Team on Thursday. The Ducks' senior is just the 11th Oregon player all-time to earn a spot on a CB All-America Team.
A year after earning second-team All-ABCA West Region honors, Cowley claimed third-team All-America honors after being named first-team All-Pac-12. A semifinalist for the Brooks Wallace Award honoring the nation's top shortstop, Cowley heads into the Nashville Regional Tournament leading the Ducks in hits (75) while tying for the team lead in home runs (15), RBI (61), runs (57) and doubles (19). He is also second in slugging percentage (632) and third in on-base percentage (.422).
His 61 RBI set a new school record (tied with Sabin Ceballos), while his 15 homers are tied for the second most in program history. He ranks in a tie for fifth in single-season doubles and third in runs scored. He also leads the team in multiple-hit games (24), which is tied for fifth all-time at Oregon.
