The Ducks improve to 3-0 through the first weekend of the dual season.
EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon men's tennis team defeated Pacific 4-0 and Seattle 7-0 on Sunday at the Student Tennis Center. The Ducks improve to 3-0 through the first weekend of the season.
Match One: The first match of the day began with tension in the doubles. Quinn Vandecasteele and Matthew Burton took the first doubles set at the No. 1 spot. Pacific won on court three to even things up, but David Cierny and Ray Lo claimed an exciting 7-6 [7-1] victory at No. 2 to secure the doubles point for the Ducks.
In singles play, Lo was first off the court with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Ran Amar at No. 5. Quinn Vandecasteele followed at the top of the lineup, defeating Justas Trainauskas 6-4, 6-2, for the 3-0 match lead.
Lenn Luemkemann won in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) over Andre Rodeia at the No. 6 spot in the lineup to clinch the match and secure a Ducks' victory.

Vandecasteele and Burton secured the doubles point with their second win of the day in a 6-3 decision over Veselin Kiselkov and Dario Ristovski.
Burton brought in the first singles point from the No. 3 spot, taking a 6-2, 6-0 win over Ristovski. Cierny, Lo, Breazu and Luemkemann finished in straight sets to clinch and push the UO lead to 6-0. Freshman Zian Vanderstappen brought the match to completion going 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 on court two.
Oregon is back on its home court Feb. 10 to face Nevada.
