Oregon Ranked Second in NCATA Preseason Poll
02/01/24 | Acrobatics & Tumbling
EUGENE, Ore. – The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) released its preseason coaches poll Thursday morning, tabbing Oregon as the No. 2 team entering the 2024 season.
"Excited to get the season rolling at No. 2," said head coach Taylor Susnara. "High rankings are great, but we're going to continue pushing the limit and focusing on us and how we want to execute each meet."
The Ducks, who were the national runner-up in 2023, are one of three teams to receive first-place votes, joining top-ranked Baylor and No. 3 Quinnipiac. This marks Oregon's highest placement in the preseason poll under Susnara.
Each of the Ducks' six regular-season meets will be against teams ranked in the preseason top 10, beginning with the first of two matchups against No. 9 Hawai'i Pacific next Saturday (Feb. 10, 7 p.m. PT) at Matthew Knight Arena. The Ducks face the top-ranked Bears twice this season, first on Feb. 25 in Waco, Texas, before squaring off on April 5 in Eugene. Oregon also hosts No. 3 Quinnipiac on March 16 and closes out the regular season with a trip to No. 5 Azusa Pacific on April 9.
Tickets for Oregon home meets will go on sale on Friday, Feb. 2. In celebration of tickets going on sale, fans can purchase spots at the Ducks' home opener against Hawai'i Pacific at half price from Feb. 2-5.
