TEMPE, Ariz. – The Oregon beach volleyball team lost two matches Sunday, falling to top-10 opponents Cal and USC on the final day of the Pac-12 South Invitational. The Ducks faced four top-seven teams this weekend.

Match 1 | #7 California 5, Oregon 0

The Golden Bears were ahead 2-0 after the first wave of matches with wins at the No. 2 and 4 spots in the lineup. Cal clinched the dual with a sweep on court five. In the closest set of the morning, the No. 1 UO pair Daley McClellan and Alina Valenti pushed Sierra Caffo and Kendall Peters but the Cal pair came away with the 21-12, 21-19 result.

Southern Cal got out to quick starts in all five duals, allowing just 11 points or fewer to the Ducks in each of the opening sets. At No. 4 pairs, Landree Coats and Skylar Kelly played a closer second set against the Trojans' pair of Ashley Pater and Madison White before dropping the first point to USC (21-10, 21-17).
