
Coats, Gamache Win Twice in Boise

The weekend road trip continues Saturday against Boise State at 10 a.m. (PT).
BOISE, Idaho – The duo of Landree Coats and Bella Gamache picked up two wins Friday but the Oregon beach volleyball team lost both duals on day one of the Boise State Beach Classic. The Ducks dropped a pair of 4-1 results to UC Davis and weekend host Boise State.
UC Davis 4, Oregon 1
The Ducks collected their lone point of the weekend-opening dual with a three-set victory by Coats and Gamache at the No. 3 pairs. For a second-consecutive outing, the duo lost the first set before rallying in three. The UO partners notched a 13-21, 21-15, 15-10 win over Sam Lazenby and Mia Olen.
After grabbing the first two points of the match, UC Davis clinched the dual when Oregon's No. 5 pair—Kendall Clark and Skylar Kelly—had to retire down 13-8 in the first set. The Aggies pushed their lead to 4-0 with a win at the top of the lineup but the Ducks' kept from being shutout with the Coats-Gamache result.

Coats and Gamache registered their second win of the day, this time with a straight-set win at the No. 3 pairs. The duo beat Rorianna Chartier and Lily Patock by a score of 21-16, 21-14 to get the Ducks on the board late in Friday's dual.
The host Broncos raced out to the 1-0 lead with a win at the No. 4 spot and extended their lead after a tight 21-19, 21-19 result over Jensen Kaelin and Ashley Schroeder on court two. The home team sealed the dual with a win at No. 5 pairs.
Along with Coats and Gamache, the Ducks' top pair of Daley McClellan and Alina Valenti won the first set. However, the BSU No. 1 pair of Marlayna Bullington and Sierra Land pulled even with a win in set two before pulling away with a mini run in the middle of the third frame.
