Season Tickets Selling at Record Rate
04/12/24 | Football
Excitement for the upcoming Oregon football season is at an all-time high, as reflected by renewal rates and requests for season tickets.
With less than five months until the Oregon football season kicks off, excitement for the 2024 schedule in Autzen Stadium already is at a fever pitch — though opportunities still remain to secure seats to see the Ducks in the fall.
The UO football team is entering year three under head coach Dan Lanning, having already put together two 10-win seasons, two bowl victories and the first top-five recruiting class in school history under his leadership. Preseason projections for the upcoming fall anticipate Oregon once again playing itself into the thick of the College Football Playoff race, in the Ducks' first season as a member of the Big Ten Conference, with some media outlets projecting the Ducks as a top-five team in the preseason rankings.
Interest in the Ducks last season was sky high — they played three of the top 25 most-watched games in the country last year, and had five sellouts during a perfect 7-0 season in Autzen Stadium. That interest has carried over into this offseason, with a renewal rate of 95.2 percent from existing season-ticket holders so far — just off the program record set in the wake of the 2010 team's 12-0 regular season — and an additional 10,524 new season tickets purchased as of today. The renewal rate for season parking passes is at 99 percent.
The general public can purchase new season tickets by clicking here. With the home schedule for 2024 including such marquee matchups as Ohio State, Michigan State and Washington, fans looking to secure seats for those games are encouraged to do so through a season ticket.
Availability in June of single-game tickets to those matchups is unlikely, once requests for additional seats from Duck Athletic Fund supporters and season-ticket holders are filled.
With the fall UO term starting in late September, we have created a two game, Idaho-Boise State, nonconference mini-plan. This plan will allow fans to sit in section 3 for both games for only $75. Click here to pick out your seats today.
Demand for tickets in Autzen Stadium isn't only soaring due to excitement from Oregon fans. Fanbases from Big Ten programs are anticipated to travel in even greater numbers than some previous conference opponents, and the Big Ten allots a larger number of tickets for visiting fans — 3,000, as opposed to 2,500 during the Pac-12 era.
Enthusiasm from Big Ten fans is reflected by television ratings from 2023. Seven of the top 10 most-watched games in the country last season included members of the Big Ten as of the fall of 2024, including 19.07 million for Ohio State vs. Michigan, 10.03 million for Oregon-Colorado and 10.02 million for the Big Ten Championship Game — three of the four matchups in the country last year prior to bowl season with at least 10 million viewers.
