Regular-Season Finale at Portland
04/18/24 | Women's Beach Volleyball
Friday's in-state matchup starts at 12 p.m.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon beach volleyball team is back in action Friday when it travels to Portland for its regular-season finale. First serve is 12 p.m. at the Names Family Foundation Beach Volleyball Courts.
The Ducks will be looking to snap a five-match skid. Oregon (4-23) has scored a point in three of its past four including tallies against ranked teams Washington and Georgia State.
The UO pair of Landree Coats and Bella Gamache have a team-high six wins this season, primarily from the No.3 spot in the lineup. Last weekend at the Alki Beach Invitational in Seattle, Natasha George and Skylar Kelly teamed up for a pair of wins. George is up to 22-career victories, good for the seventh most in program history.
Friday marks the 20th all-time meeting between Oregon and Portland. The Ducks have won 16 of the 19 matches in the series including 15 in a row dating back to the 2018 season.
Portland carries a 10-10 record into Friday's match. The Pilots had wins against Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific this past Monday to reach the double-digit win total for the first time in program history.
Up Next: The postseason begins with the Pac-12 Championship (April 24-26) in Tempe, Ariz.
