Jermaine Couisnard and N’Faly Dante Sign NBA Contracts

EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon seniors Jermaine Couisnard and N'Faly Dante have signed NBA contracts. Couisnard will join the New Orleans Pelicans while Dante signed with the Houston Rockets on a two-way contract.
Couisnard averaged 16.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.6 steals, starting all 36 games for Oregon last season. The East Chicago, Indiana native scored a program record 40 points in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last season after helping the Ducks win the Pac-12 Tournament. Couisnard will join the Pelicans for Summer League, taking place in Las Vegas from July 12-22.
Dante signed a two-way contract with the Rockets after leading Oregon with 17.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, 1.7 steals and 1.6 assists. The first team all-conference selection was the Pac-12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player and closed his career with three consecutive 20-point games, including a 28-point, 20-rebound performance in his final collegiate game.
