Men’s Basketball to Participate in Players Era Festival

EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon men's basketball will play three games as part of the inaugural Players Era Festival in Las Vegas in November.
The Ducks will face Texas A&M on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 1:30 p.m. PT, San Diego State on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. PT, and Creighton on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m. PT. All games will be played in the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Texas A&M won the last meeting between the two teams in the 2022 NIT, a 75-60 Aggies victory in College Station. The Ducks won the only prior meeting 94-70 in 1970. Oregon's second contest is a rematch of last season's Round of 32 matchup against Creighton, when the Ducks just missed a trip to the Sweet 16 after a double-overtime thriller. The two teams also met once in 1974 and three times in 2011, when the Ducks won two-of-three games to clinch the 2011 CBI Championship. Oregon is 3-3 all-time against San Diego State, as the two teams face off for the first time since December 2, 1997.

"Players Era Festival is the inaugural event for the groundbreaking college basketball showcase and NIL company, Players Era, aimed at captivating fans and providing college athletes with opportunities to engage in unique name, image and likeness (NIL) activities. The 2024 Festival will feature two distinct tournaments and introduce an entirely new structure for early season competition, coinciding with the opportunity for athletes on each participating team to engage in more than $1 million in NIL opportunities outside of competition."
