ROSEMONT, Ill. – Eric Doyle, Greyson Leach and Aiden Krafft have been named to the Big Ten Men's Golf Preseason Players to Watch list, the conference announced Thursday.
This year's list recognizes 46 golfers from across the conference, as selected by the coaches.
Krafft is coming off of his first collegiate individual championship this past weekend, finishing atop the leaderboard at the Sahalee Players Championship. He was the lone golfer in the field to finish all three rounds under par, tying for the lead in par-5 scoring average (4.33, -8) and tying for second in total birdies (12). Krafft is the first Duck to claim an individual title since the 2022-23 season and the first to open the season with a victory since 2017.
Leach also had a strong opening weekend at Sahalee, finishing tied for sixth at 1-under par. The senior managed the course well all weekend, leading the field with 41 pars. Leach currently ranks seventh in program history with a 72.00 career scoring average and boasts a team-high 304 career birdies. He also sits just outside the top 25 in the latest PGA TOUR University standings, moving up eight spots to No. 29 in the class of 2025.
Doyle has been a consistent performer over the last three seasons, sporting a 73.09 career scoring average and sitting just one birdie shy of 200 for his career. After cracking the Ducks' starting lineup just once prior to last season's conference championships, Doyle impressed at the conference tournament with a 7-over 291 and a 10th-place finish. His 72.60 scoring average last season was the best in his career.
Oregon returns to the course on Monday, Sept. 23, for the first day of The Tindall at Aldarra Golf Club in Sammamish, Wash. The Ducks finished fifth at the event last season, then the Husky Invitational, as Aiden Krafft shot a 1-under 215 for his second top-25 finish in as many tournaments.
