Ducks Fall on Leaderboard After Final Round at The Goodwin

STANFORD, Calif. – The Oregon men's golf team had a tough final round at The Goodwin, dropping to a tie for 17th place after 54 holes at Stanford Golf Course. Â

Senior Aiden Krafft was the low-scoring Duck of tournament, finishing with an even 210 for the tournament. Jeffrey Kwak ended up with the most improved scorecard, lowering his totals each day to end with a 1-under 69 in the final round.

The Ducks remained in the running with a field full of top ranked teams for the first two days, but ended the week with a 854 total score for the tournament. No. 23 Stanford took home the title on their home course, finishing 17-under while Mesa Falleur recorded the individual win shooting 198 across three rounds.

How It Happened
After a carding his tournament-low round of 67 on Friday, Krafft went even in the final round with three birdies and three bogeys. The senior carded a 210 to finish in the top 30 as an individual, and posted the lowest score in the Oregon lineup.

Kwak finished 7-over for the tournament, but showed consistent improvement across three rounds. After going 76-72, the junior recovered to finish under par in Saturday's final round thanks to an eagle on hole No. 7. Casper Nerpin went 9-over after an even first two days to finish 99th.

Oscar Lent, competing as an individual, finished 10-over for the tournament with his lowest round marked on Thursday with a 72. Ramil Saelim matched his 220 three-day score after opening the tournament with a stellar 5-under 65. Sebastian Desoisa rounded out the Oregon lineup, finishing 11-over.

The Ducks wrapped up a busy week after securing second place as a team at the Duck Invitational on their home course on Tuesday, before heading straight to Stanford.
