Week 5 of the NFL season is complete with much to celebrate for the former Ducks.
Dillon Gabriel made his first NFL start at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in their London match up against the Minnesota Vikings. Gabriel is the fourth #ProDuck to start at quarterback this season, joining Justin Herbert, Marcus Mariota and Bo Nix.
Tez Johnson made an impact in the Buccaneers' win in Seattle, while Bo Nix and Troy Franklin led the Broncos to defeat the Eagles in their first loss of the season.
Minnesota Vikings 21, Cleveland Browns 17
Dillon Gabriel had his first NFL career start for the Browns, going 19-of-33 with 190 passing yards. Gabriel threw for two touchdowns and rushed for five yards in the NFL London game.
Denver Broncos 21, Philadelphia Eagles 17
Bo Nix started at quarterback for the Broncos, throwing 24-for-39 and 242 yards to come back from a 14-point deficit. Nix threw for one touchdown and rushed for 22 yards, tallying a 70.7 offensive grade from PFF. Troy Franklin started at wide receiver for the Broncos, going 3-for-4 on receptions for 35 yards. Nix Connected with Franklin for a two point conversion to take the lead in the fourth quarter. Alex Forsyth played three snaps for the Broncos special teams.
San Francisco 49ers 26, Los Angeles Rams 23
Deommodore Lenoir started at cornerback for the 49ers and made six tackles, including four solo. Lenoir posted a 79.5 tackling grade from Pro Football Focus, while playing 68 snaps.
Terrance Ferguson caught a pass on a 21-yard play for the Rams. Ferguson also received an 89.5 offense grade from PFF.
Indianapolis Colts 40, Las Vegas Raiders 6
DeForest Buckner started for the Colts at defensive right tackle, making five tackles, inlcuding three solo. Buckner tallied a 76.1 defensive rating from PFF.
Jackson Powers-Johnson started at right guard for the Las Vegas Raiders. Powers-Johnson posted a 90.6 run blocking grade and an 82.4 offensive grade from PFF while playing 71 snaps.
Dallas Cowboys 37, New York Jets 22
T.J. Bass started at right guard for the Cowboys and received an 87.9 pass blocking grade from PFF, playing 67 snaps. Ajani Cornelius played seven snaps for the Cowboys special teams.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 38, Seattle Seahawks 35
Tez Johnson had a breakout game at wide receiver for the Buccaneers, making a career-high 4-for-4 receptions and totaling 59 yards. Johnson posted an 82.2 offensive grade from PFF, playing 22 snaps.
New Orleans Saints 26, New York Giants 14
Juwan Johnson started for the Saints at tight end, making two catches for 17 yards. Johnosn had a 70.6 pass blocking grade from PFF. Ugo Amadi played 12 snaps for the Saints special teams.
Jevon Holland started for the Giants at free safety and had one solo tackle. Holland received a 79.8 defense rating from PFF, playing 69 snaps. Kayvon Thibodeaux started at defensive end for the Giants, playing 49 snaps and making one solo tackle.
Washington Commanders 27, Los Angeles Chargers 10
Josh Conerly Jr. started at right tackle for the Commanders, playing 64 snaps.
Justin Herbert started at quarterback for the Chargers, going 22-for-29 and throwing 166 yards. Herbert accounted for one rushing touchdown and rushed for 60 yards, earning an 84.1 offensive grade from PFF. Troy Dye started for the Chargers at middle linebacker, making 11 tackles, including ten solo. Jamaree Caldwell played 36 snaps at right tackle for the Chargers.
Detroit Lions 37, Cincinnati Bengals 24
Penei Sewell started at right tackle for the Lions, receiving an 89.9 run blocking grade and 84.4 offensive grade from PFF. Sewell played 67 snaps.
New England Patriots 23, Buffalo Bills 20
Christian Gonzalez started at cornerback for the Patriots, making six tackles, including two solo. Gonzalez earned a 72.2 defensive coverage grade against receivers from PFF, playing 68 snaps.
Jacksonville Jaguars 31, Kansas City Chiefs 28
Johnny Mundt started at tight end for the Jaguars, gaining seven yards on one reception. Mundt earned a 75.1 pass block grade from PFF, playing 21 snaps.
Jeffrey Bassa played 16 snaps for the Chiefs special teams.
Houston Texans 44, Baltimore Ravens 10
Jamal Hill had one tackle playing 24 snaps for the Texans special teams.
