
Bittle Named a Top 10 Candidate for the 2025 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced today that Oregon center Nate Bittle is a top 10 candidate for the 2025 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award.
Bittle leads the Ducks with 12.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game, shooting a career-high 50.9 percent from the field. The seven-foot center ranks second in the Big Ten in blocks per game and second in total blocks with 44. He sits one block shy of 100 for his career, ranking sixth all-time in Oregon history.
The Oregonian is one of eight players nationally with over 275 points, 150 rebounds and 40 blocks this season and the only player in the Big Ten to eclipse those totals. Bittle has recorded three double-doubles this season, tallying 16 double-digit scoring outings, including three 20-point games.
