
Bittle, Shelstad Named to All-Big Ten Third Team

Bamba, Bittle Named to Big Ten All-Defensive Team
ROSEMONT, Ill. – Oregon men's basketball team members Nate Bittle and Jackson Shelstad were named to the All-Big Ten third team today, while Bittle and TJ Bamba earned Big Ten All-Defensive Team honors.
Bittle is leading the team with 14.1 points (.513 FG%, .337 3P%, .822 FT%), 7.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. His 69 blocks are the most in the Big Ten and his 225 rebounds rank eighth. Last week, Bittle was named one of five finalists for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award. He followed up the nomination with a career-best 36 points and 12 rebounds in a road win against Washington.

Shelstad is averaging 13.3 points (.439 FG%, .379 3P%, .840 FT%), 3.0 rebounds. 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 32.8 minutes per game. In 20 conference games, Shelstad notched 15.3 points (.471 FG%), recording five 20-point games in conference play. His clutch play has lifted Oregon in multiple close games, including most recently against Indiana when he hit the go-ahead three with 90 seconds left.

Bamba has anchored the Ducks' perimeter defense, ranking fifth in the Big Ten with 1.8 steals per game. In 31 games (all starts), Bamba is averaging 10.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. He swiped 2.0 steals per game in conference play, ranking third in the conference.
In addition, Oregon senior James Cooper was named to the 2024-25 Big Ten Sportsmanship Team.
