Oregon wrapped up its first full week of spring practices in Autzen Stadium on Saturday.
The Ducks wrapped up their first full week of spring practices Saturday morning in Autzen Stadium.
Oregon will scrimmage in the stadium each of the next three Saturdays. While this practice wasn't a scrimmage, it was a spirited workout on a beautiful morning in Eugene.
Following practice, tight ends coach Drew Mehringer and junior Kenyon Sadiq met with local media. Video of those interviews is embedded below.

Some highlights from coach Mehringer …
On the makeup of his position without Terrance Ferguson and Patrick Herbert: "There's some youth in there and some inexperience, Kenyon being the most experienced we player we have in the room. Jamari (Johnson) has played at Louisville and coming in here, excited about where he's at and where he's going to go. But it's always a challenge. As a coach I think that type of stuff is fun though. Because you get them from the very, very beginning and you can mold them into the player that they need to be and what they can become.
On Sadiq's profile as a soft-spoken position leader: "When he speaks, people listen — because if he's speaking, it's coming from the heart. I don't ask Kenyon to be a rah-rah guy, but I do ask him to be intentional about what he says. There are times as a leader when we don't want to talk in leadership roles, where it is necessary and impactful. You don't have to pretend to be something that you're not, but you need to speak honestly and earnestly to help the people around you become the best people they can be
On the addition of the transfer Johnson: "He's 6-foot-6 and he's got to be right around 260 pounds. But he's faster than you think he is, he's twitchier too and he has great hands — he has humongous hands. Where he's going to end up, I don't know. He's obviously a very different body type than what Kenyon is. We'll see how they work together out there on the field. I anticipate seeing a lot of him come the fall. I think he's very very gifted."
