05/14/25 | Men's Golf
AUBURN, Ala. – Oregon wrapped up play at the NCAA Auburn Regional at Auburn University Club on Wednesday, finishing ninth as a team to close out the 2025 season.
Â
The Ducks put together their strongest round of the regional in the finale, shooting a combined 5-over 293 to move up three spots on the leaderboard but still falling below the cut line. The host team took the regional title at 32 under, while Texas A&M, UCLA, Purdue and Georgia Tech all clinched spots at the NCAA Championships.
Â
"We played better today but we could never sustain any good play this week," head coach Casey Martin said. "It was a frustrating week."
Â
Greyson Leach led the Ducks in scoring in the final round, shooting an even-par 72 for his second par-or-better result of the week. The senior finished tied for 18th individually, his fifth top-20 finish of the season and the second time in his career that he has placed top-20 at a regional.
Â
"I'm sad for Greyson and Eric [Doyle] that they didn't get to play at nationals," Martin added. "They had a great career."
Â
Auburn's Jackson Koivun claimed medalist honors, while Kennesaw State's Claes Borregaard tied for second individually, claiming the regional's lone at-large spot to advance to the national championships.
Â

After a trio of pars to start the round, Leach carded back-to-back birdies on the 13th and 14th. He gave one stroke back with a bogey on No. 16, but made birdie on the 18th to make the turn at 2 under. The senior carded seven pars and two bogeys to finish the tournament at 2 over, climbing five spots on the leaderboard and into the top 20.
