Leach Named to PING All-Region Team
05/24/25 | Men's Golf
EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon's Greyson Leach has been named to the PING All-West Region team, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Saturday.
This marks the first career all-region nod for Leach, who was unanimously named to the all-Big Ten first team earlier this month.
The senior was one of 26 golfers named to the West region team and one of 21 Big Ten golfers who earned a spot on one of the six regional teams. Leach is the 16th Duck to earn all-region honors and the first since Owen Avrit and Nate Stember were named to the all-Pacific region team in 2023.
The Palos Verdes, Calif., native put together his best season of golf to close out his collegiate career, boasting a career-best 71.03 scoring average and contributing a counting score in all 36 of his rounds. He earned three top-10 and five top-20 results, leading the Ducks with 15 rounds under par and 21 round of par or better. Leach made a career-high 115 birdies during the 2024-25 season, the most of his career, to eclipse the century mark for the second time.
Leach came out of the gates swinging, finishing tied for sixth at the Sahalee Players Championship to open the fall season. He then kicked off the spring slate by firing an 11-under 211, his lowest career round to par thanks to a season-high 11 birdies and an eagle. He helped the Ducks finish with a 48-under 816, the lowest score to par in UO history and third lowest total.
The later into the season the Ducks got, the better Leach performed. He finished second individually at the Bandon Dunes Championship, helping Oregon claim its first team title since the 2022-23 season. He turned in three more counting scores the next time out to help the Ducks win once again, this time at the Duck Invitational at Eugene Country Club.
Leach matched his best result of the season at the Big Ten Championships, carding three par-or-better rounds for the best individual result at a conference championship since Wyndham Clark won the 2017 Pac-12 title with an identical 4-under 206.
Leach finished his Oregon career with the fifth-lowest scoring average (71.74) and 10th-most birdies (412) in program history.
