EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon football team held its third practice of fall camp on Friday afternoon inside Autzen Stadium.
The Ducks will cap their first week of camp with another practice on Saturday before taking Sunday off. The team will be back on the practice field on Monday for the first full week of practice.
Following Friday's practice, offensive coordinator Will Stein met with local media. Video of that interview is embedded below.

Some highlights from Coach Stein …
On figuring out roles in the offense:: "We're early in camp, so it's still a green and yellow team and mixed groups. As we get closer, there's going to be a one group, there's going to be a two. Then we start getting into scout teams looks and game week preps and guys really settle into their roles. Right now, it's still early on in camp. It's about fundamentals and technique, flying around, extreme effort, great attitude and toughness like we've never seen before. As we move forward, what I'm looking for is just elite execution, that's one thing. When you think about it, where I want to be week one is I don't want to wait until week three or after to hit on all cylinders. I want to start fast and get to that confidence early with a young group."
On practicing against Oregon's secondary: "I told our offense today how blessed we are to go against Dan Lanning, Tosh Lupoi, Chris Hampton, Brian Michalowski, Tony Tuioti. These coaches on defense are the best I've ever been around, it's not even close. What they give us on a daily basis schematically is hard enough. Then when you add extremely talented players in the back, guys like Matayo Uiagalelei, Teitum Tuioti, A'Mauri Washington, Bryce Boettcher, it's a defense that is really fun to watch fly around."
On working with young players who may lack game experience: "The best way to learn how to play football is to play football. 11 on 11, fans in the stands, clock, referees. You only get so many opportunities to do that ... You have to really take every single day and play like it's a game. Every situation that you get as a player and a coach has to be game like. If you're taking a rep in an individual drill, you have to simulate the game. You have to visualize the game. We do so much situational football here that we feel like we're in a great shape once we get to game day. But it takes time, it takes an actual live performance to see where we're at."
