Oregon returns home after opening Big Ten play with a win at Northwestern last week, and it will put the nation's longest active nonconference home winning streak on the line at 36 games. Oregon holds a 69-49-10 lead in the series with Oregon State, winning each of the last two meetings and carrying an eight-game winning streak against the Beavers in Autzen Stadium.

Ducks Win Big Ten Opener
Oregon faced its first road test last week, opening Big Ten play with a 34-14 win at Northwestern. The Ducks improved to 10-0 all-time in Big Ten play with another balanced effort, jumping out to a 34-0 lead before allowing a pair of Wildcat touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Oregon played mistake-free, commiting zero penalties in a game for the first time since at least 1996. QB Dante Moore was solid once again with 178 yards and a touchdown on 16-of-20 passing, and the running back trio of Jayden Limar, Dierre Hill Jr. and Jordon Davison each scored a rushing TD. Defensively, Oregon held Northwestern to just 135 passing yards and got interceptions from both ILB Bryce Boettcher and ILB Jerry Mixon.
Home Cookin'
Oregon has been one of the most dominant teams in the nation at home over the last decade-plus, and the Ducks put together a perfect 7-0 home slate for the second year in a row in 2024. It was Oregon's fifth undefeated regular season at home since 2019 and 12th in program history, and the Ducks' wins over Montana State and Oklahoma State to open 2025 extended their home winning streak to 17 games dating back to the 2022 season, the fifth-longest home winning streak in program history. Oregon is 40-1 (.976) at home since an overtime loss to Stanford on Sept. 22, 2018, a span that included 23 straight home wins to match the longest home win streak in program history. UO is 49-3 (.942) at home since the start of the 2017 season, boasting the nation's third-best win percentage and tied for fourth-most wins during that time.
Oregon's success at home against nonconference opponents extends even further, as the Ducks own the nation's longest active nonconference home winning streak at 36 games after dominant wins over Montana State and Oklahoma State. UO has not lost a nonconference home game since Sept. 20, 2008 - a 37-32 loss to Boise State - and has been dominant overall in Autzen Stadium in that span with an 92-11 (.893) record at home since the start of the 2009 season. Oregon owns a stellar 21-1 (.955) record inside Autzen Stadium under head coach Dan Lanning, tied for the sixth-most home wins in the nation since 2022. Oregon's next home nonconference win will be the 100th in Autzen Stadium history.
Active Home Nonconference Winning Streaks
(Last home nonconference loss)

Rivalry Uniform Honors Impact Of "Shoe Duck"
A pairing of the state's two flagship college football programs will provide a platform to celebrate the pairing that started Oregon's iconic apparel company, and the pairing of a family's unparalleled generosity with the University of Oregon. When the UO football program takes the field against Oregon State on Saturday, the Ducks will do so in a uniform honoring Phil Knight, his Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman and the fruits of their union, including Knight and his wife Penny's generous support for Oregon. The Ducks will wear a new matte marble helmet, anthricite jerseys and pants with gold highlights, and gold cleats.
The uniforms are as usual replete with small details that tell the story of Knight's founding of Nike with Bowerman, his elevation of the state of Oregon onto the global stage, and his passion for UO athletics. The uniforms were designed over the past two years with input from Oregon's staff and players. Earlier this spring, they were previewed for Knight himself. UO senior linebacker Bryce Boettcher helped make a presentation to him in Knight's suite during a track meet at Hayward Field — the place where Knight ran for Bowerman's Men of Oregon, and where the seeds for Nike were first sown. The base color of anthricite, the gold cleats and indeed even the project's name — "Shoe Duck" — were inspired by the cover of Knight's book about Nike's founding, "Shoe Dog."
The gloves bear a waffle print, representing the waffle iron that Bowerman used to make an early prototype of the sneakers Nike would go on to produce. The matte marble helmet includes wings on each side, though it is asymmetrical. Mimicking the tail of Knight's private jet — which represents his two passions — it bears on one side the classic Duck wing of previous Oregon helmets, and on the other side the wing of Nike, the Greek goddess of victory. On the back is a golden Oregon "O" logo, and also a gold bar representing Bowerman's service with the Army during World War II. Two patches, one on each shoulder of the jerseys, have some of the most vivid storytelling elements of the uniform. One features a handshake representing the initial verbal agreement — and the mutual trust it involved — between Knight and Bowerman when founding what was then Blue Ribbon Sports. That trust between coach and student-athlete turned business partners has been a source of pride to Knight ever since, and a value he'd hoped to instill in others in their working relationships. The other shoulder patch features the UO motto Mens Agitat Molem — "minds move mountains." It features profiles of two mountains, Hood outside Portland and Fuji in Japan, where Knight sought inspiration as a young entrepreneur, both philosophically and as a businessman. The patch also features both duck wings and tiger stripes, representing the coming together of East and West, and of bringing Oregon onto the global stage.

Every Phase of the Game
Oregon established itself as one of the nation's most well-rounded teams in 2024 and is off to an even more balanced start in 2025. Entering Week 4, the Ducks are one of seven FBS teams in the top 15 for both scoring offense and scoring defense, tying for third nationally with 54.0 points per game while tying for 14th with just 10.0 points per game allowed. Offensively, the Ducks have been nearly perfectly balanced in all three games, including 253 yards both passing and rushing in the season opener vs. Montana State and 300-plus yards both through the air (319) and on the ground (312) in Week 2 against Oklahoma State. Defensively, Oregon held a Montana State team that led both the FCS and FBS levels with 4,179 rushing yards in 2024 to just 46 yards on the ground on 27 carries, and then limited a famously potent Oklahoma State passing attack to just 67 yards through the air. The Ducks held Northwestern to just 135 passing yards last week in the Big Ten Opener. Oregon's special teams has also made an impact early in the season, blocking a punt in the first quarter against Montana State.
Playing Clean
The Ducks have done a great job of minimizing mistakes through the first three games, and they were especially disciplined in last week's win at Northwestern while committing zero penalties in a game for the first time since at least 1996. Oregon has committed just nine total pentalties this season, tied for sixth-fewest in the nation and tied for third-fewest among teams to have played at least three games. UO's 3.0 penalties per game is tied for third-fewest nationally, and its 21.3 penalty yards per game ranks third in the FBS. Oregon is one of just four FBS teams to commit zero penalties in a game so far in 2025, along with Eastern Michigan, Florida and Wisconsin.
Scoring At Will
Oregon's offense has been among the most dominant in the nation since HC Dan Lanning took over in 2022, and the Ducks have kept up that reputation early on in 2025. Oregon followed up its 59-point output vs. Montana State in the season opener with a 69-point explosion against Oklahoma State in Week 2, scoring 50-plus points in back-to-back games for the first time under Lanning and first time since the first two games of 2018. Outside of an end-of-game kneel down in the season opener, Oregon scored touchdowns on 16 of its first 21 drives to begin 2025, with nine offensive touchdowns against Montana State and eight against Oklahoma State. The Ducks put up 34 points in their Big Ten opener and first road game last week at Northwestern, their 28th 30-plus point performance in their last 31 contests since the start of 2023.
» Oregon is one of four schools (Nebraska, Texas Tech, USC) with multiple games of 59-plus points this season.
» UO is tied for third nationally with 54.0 points per game; one of eight schools averaging at least 50.0 PPG.
» Oregon is No. 2 nationally with 22 total touchdowns scored, trailing only Texas Tech (23).
» The Ducks have scored points on all 16 of their red-zone opportunities while coming away with 14 touchdowns.
Incredible Balance
You couldn't ask for a more balanced offense than what Oregon has produced through three games. After being perfectly balanced in the season opener with 253 yards both rushing and passing vs. Montana State, the Ducks racked up 319 passing yards and 312 rushing yards vs. Oklahoma State. It was the first time since the 2023 season opener vs. Portland State that Oregon had at least 300 yards both rushing and passing in the same game, and the Ducks are one of only eight FBS schools to achieve that feat so far this season. Oregon is one of four FBS teams (Indiana, Old Dominion, Virginia) to have multiple games with 250-plus yards both rushing and passing, ranking 18th nationally with 503.3 total yards per game. UO was balanced once again last week at Northwestern, passing for 197 yards and rushing for 176.
» Oregon ranks 11th nationally in rushing yards per game (247.0) and 46th in passing yards per game (256.3).
» Oregon's 20 offensive touchdowns have come from eight different players.
» 13 different Ducks have recorded receptions through two games, including 11 with multiple catches.

New Era Under Center
Oregon faced a new challenge at the quarterback position coming into 2025, after the two most experienced signal callers in college football history led the Ducks over the last three seasons. The Ducks have had Heisman Trophy finalists at the position in back-to-back years, with Bo Nix earning a ticket to New York in 2023 and Dillon Gabriel following in his footsteps in 2024. Gabriel finished his collegiate career with a FBS record 63 career starts, breaking Nix's previous record of 61. With Nix (Denver Broncos) and Gabriel (Cleveland Browns) both now in the NFL, the Ducks have turned to redshirt sophomore Dante Moore under center in 2025. After sitting and learning behind Gabriel in 2024, Moore has picked up where Nix and Gabriel left off through his first three games, completing 50-of-64 passes for 657 yards and seven touchdowns with just one interception.
» Moore ranks third nationally with a 78.1 completion percentage and fourth with a 197.33 passer rating.
» 50 completions have been distributed across 12 different receivers.
» Has completed at least 75.0 percent of his passes in each of the first three games.
» 39-of-51 (76.5) for 495 yards and five touchdowns in the first half of games this season.
Loaded Running Back Room
Oregon boasts arguably the nation's deepest running back room and that depth has been on full display through the first three games. All seven of Oregon's scholarship running backs have received at least seven carries and six have double-digit rushing attempts. RB Noah Whittington, in his fourth year at Oregon and sixth in college football, earned the starting nod in each of the first two games before missing last week at Northwestern, when junior RB Jayden Limar earned his first career start. Whittington averaged 11.4 yards per carry through the first two contests, rushing 14 times for 159 yards and two touchdowns, and Limar has scored in each of the first three games while totaling 145 yards on a team-high 20 carries. The Ducks have also gotten huge contributions from a pair of true freshmen in RB Jordon Davison and RB Dierre Hill Jr. Davison leads all FBS true freshmen and is tied for sixth nationally with a team-high five rushing touchdowns, scoring in each of the first three games including a three-TD game in the season opener. Hill leads the Ducks in rushing yards with 161 on just 11 carries with a pair of touchdowns, averaging 14.6 yards per carry after breaking loose for a 66-yard touchdown run last week at Northwestern. The Ducks also landed a big-time addition in the offseason in junior transfer RB Makhi Hughes, who is coming off back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons at Tulane, and redshirt junior RB Jay Harris and redshirt freshman RB Da'Jaun Riggs are both in their second years in the program.
The Law Firm - Protection You Can Trust
Oregon's offensive line has been arguably the best in the nation since head coach Dan Lanning arrived in 2022, leading all FBS teams during that time with just 31 combined sacks allowed. Army is second in that span with 32 sacks allowed, but the Ducks have attempted more than 1,000 more passes at 1,482 compared to just 418. Oregon's 31 sacks allowed are 11 less than any other Power 4 team (Kansas, 42). The Ducks led the nation in fewest sacks allowed in back-to-back years in 2022 and 2023, giving up just five sacks in each of those seasons. Oregon tied for 45th nationally with 21 sacks allowed in 2024, but seven of those came in the first two games and eight came in the CFP Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl. In 11 games between Week 3 and the Big Ten Championship Game, Oregon was tied for No. 2 nationally with just six sacks allowed. Oregon has kept the backfield clean so far in 2025, allowing zero sacks and just seven tackles for loss through three games while surrendering only eight total pressures.
» Oregon ranks second nationally with a 91.8 pass-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus.
» UO is one of five teams to allow zero sacks and one of three (Cincinnati, Virginia) to do so while playing three games.
» The Ducks are tied for sixth nationally in fewest tackles for loss allowed.
Relentless D
Oregon's defense was a driving force throughout the 2024 season and has been terrific once again early in 2025. The Ducks held Montana State to just 13 points in the season opener before keeping Oklahoma State out of the end zone and allowing only a field goal in Week 2. In Week 3, UO shut out Northwestern through three quarters and allowed a pair of late touchdowns in its Big Ten opener on the road. Oregon is tied for 11th nationally with just three total touchdowns allowed this season (tied for fifth in the Big Ten) and one of seven to not allow a passing touchdown entering Week 4. UO currently is tied for 14th nationally in scoring defense at just 10.0 points allowed per game, holding each of its first three opponents 14 points or less after doing so seven times in 2024. Oregon's dominant effort vs. Oklahoma State marked the first time it has not allowed a touchdown in a game since a 35-0 shutout at Purdue last season.
» UO has allowed 14 points or less 20 times under HC Dan Lanning and DC Tosh Lupoi, and the Ducks have won 105 consecutive such games following the Ducks' 34-14 win at Northwestern in Week 3.
» Oregon allowed 21 points or less 10 times in 2024 and has done so in nine consecutive regular-season games.

Setting The Tone
The Oregon defense has put the clamps on opponents in the first half this season, allowing teams an average of just 2.0 points in the first 30 minutes of play after shutting out Northwestern in Week 3. The Ducks have yet to allow a first-half touchdown on the young season while not allowing a point in the first quarter. In three consecutive weeks, UO has forced a punt on its opponents' opening possession of the game - including foricng both Montana State and Oklahoma State to three-and-outs to begin the day.
» UO's 2.0 points allowed in first halves of games is the eighth-best rate in the nation, while its plus-30.0 first-half scoring differential ranking as the third-best in the country.
» Oregon has yet to allow a touchdown outside of the fourth quarter, allowing a total of nine points in the first three quarters of games.
» Oregon is forcing offenses into a three-and-out on 40.0 percent of drives - tied for the sixth-best such rate nationally.
» Ducks' opponents have converted just 3-of-20 third-down attempts (15.0 percent) in the first half, while UO's third-down defense ranks 17th in the country at 25.6 percent.
Picks For Mix
Junior ILB Jerry Mixon is having a breakout start to the 2025 season, recording an interception for the second straight week on Saturday at Northwestern. Mixon was coming off his first career pick the week prior against Oklahoma State, which he returned 26 yards for his first career touchdown. Saturday, he returned his third-quarter interception 36 yards to the Northwestern 35-yard line to set up Oregon's fourth touchdown of the afternoon. Mixon added a career-high-tying five tackles while registering a tackle for loss against the Wildcats, helping him take home Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors.
» He is the first Duck since DB Khyree Jackson in 2023 with an interception in back-to-back games.
» His two picks are tied for sixth-most in the nation and tied for the Big Ten lead, while his 62 return yards are 12th-most in the nation and most among linebackers.
» Ranks No. 1 among qualified FBS linebackers (min. of 20% of snaps played) with a 91.5 overall defensive grade from Pro Football Focus, and his 92.7 pass coverage grade is second among FBS linebackers.
