Boettcher Named Burlsworth Trophy Player of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Oregon inside linebacker was named the Burlsworth Trophy Walk-On Player of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in the Ducks' double-overtime win at No. 3 Penn State over the weekend.
The 2024 winner of the Burlsworth Trophy, which is presented to the nation's most outstanding player who began his career as a walk-on, Boettcher racked up a career-high 13 tackles and assisted on a tackle for loss in Oregon's 30-24 win over the Nittany Lions.
This is the second career weekly honor presented to Boettcher by the Burlsworth Trophy.
Boettcher recorded his fourth career double-digit tackle performance and second this season, and he leads the Ducks through five games with 40 total tackles.
Boettcher and the No. 2 Ducks (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten) are on a bye this week before hosting No. 8 Indiana (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten) in another top-10 matchup next Saturday, Oct. 11, in Autzen Stadium (12:30 p.m. PT, CBS).
