Simmons Earns Second Straight Big Ten Weekly Honors

EUGENE, Ore. – For the second week in a row, and second season in a row, Oregon lacrosse midfielder Anna Simmons has been named the Big Ten Midfielder of the Week.
Simmons earned weekly honors from the conference in the first three weeks of the 2025 season, and has had repeated success in two consecutive weeks while leading Oregon to a 3-0 record this year. This marks the fifth career weekly honor for Simmons, who was named to the Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch list earlier this year.
The North Bend, Wash., native continued to drive Oregon's success in the midfield as the Ducks won a pair of games in San Diego. The senior captain scored twice in the 16-5 win against FDU and had two scores plus a pair of assists against San Diego State.
Through three games, Simmons has totaled eight goals, two assists, 13 draw controls, eight ground balls and three caused turnovers. Her eight goals are tied for seventh in the Big Ten alongside teammate Emma Ing.
Simmons and the Ducks will be back in action at Papé Field on Thursday when they kick off a five-game homestead beginning with former Pac-12 foe California.
