Ducks Come Up Short in Big Ten Tournament

OJAI, Calif. — Oregon's run in the Big Ten Men's Tennis Tournament ended Wednesday with a 4-0 loss to Indiana in the first round at Libbey Park.
The eighth-seeded Ducks (14-11) dropped the doubles point after Indiana won 6-3 on court one and 6-4 on court three to claim the early 1-0 lead.
In singles, Oregon was unable to secure a point before the match was clinched. Indiana picked up straight-set wins at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles to seal the result. Lachlan Robertson fell 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4, Russell Soohoo lost 6-3, 6-4 at No. 5, and Cameron Burton was defeated 6-4, 6-1 at No. 6.
Three other singles matches featuring Oregon players went unfinished. Vlad Breazu was trailing in the second set at No. 1 after dropping the first, while Pierre Mouesca and Sam Olszakowski each split their opening two sets at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
