Oregon Men’s Basketball Signs Pharaoh Compton

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon men's basketball has signed transfer Pharaoh Compton, head coach Dana Altman announced today.
Compton spent his first two season at San Diego State and owns career averages of 6.5 points (.688 FG%) and 2.6 rebounds in 63 career games.
In 2025-26, Compton played in all 33 games with one start, averaging 7.5 points while shooting 72.1 percent from the field, along with 2.8 rebounds in 13.8 minutes per game. He recorded 11 double-figure scoring performances, highlighted by a career-high 21 points with eight rebounds against Whittier. Compton added 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting with five rebounds in a win over Colorado State, and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the field for 14 points against Idaho State. He also tallied 12 points, five rebounds and three blocks versus Utah Valley, and notched 11 points with a career-high four steals in a road win at Air Force. He totaled 14 games with three or more rebounds and recorded six multi-block efforts on the season.
As a freshman in 2024-25, Compton appeared in 30 games and averaged 5.4 points while shooting 64.5 percent from the field, along with 2.4 rebounds per contest. He earned Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors in back-to-back weeks in December. Compton had three double-figure scoring games as a freshman, including a season-high 13 points in an overtime win against No. 6 Houston. He also scored 13 points with three rebounds, two assists and two blocks versus Nevada, and added 12 points, six rebounds and two steals against San Diego. He grabbed six rebounds in a road win at San Jose State and blocked three shots in seven minutes against Wyoming.
A native of Chicago, Compton attended Arbor View High School in Las Vegas, where he was a three-star recruit and the top prospect out of Nevada in the 2024 class. As a senior, he averaged 19.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game, leading his team to the semifinals of the 5A Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association state tournament. He was also named to the Nevada Preps All-Southern Nevada team.
