EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon men's basketball head coach Dana Altman announced the hiring of Brandon Kuhn as the program's strength and conditioning coach.
Kuhn brings nearly two decades of collegiate experience to Eugene and joins the Ducks after spending the 2025-26 season at Texas A&M, where the Aggies advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Prior to Texas A&M, he spent two seasons at Miami under head coach Jim Larrañaga.
In 2022-23, Kuhn served as strength and conditioning coach at St. John's after two seasons as strength and conditioning coach for the Miami women's basketball program. In 2022, the Hurricanes won 21 games and earned an NCAA Tournament berth.
Before arriving in Miami, Kuhn worked as the men's basketball strength coach at South Alabama following a two-year stint at Manhattan College, where he served as both strength coach and director of basketball operations from 2017-19.
Kuhn also spent two years as director of strength and conditioning at Coppin State after serving three seasons as associate director of strength and conditioning at Western Kentucky. While at Western Kentucky, he helped the Hilltoppers capture consecutive Sun Belt Conference championships in 2012 and 2013.
He began his collegiate career at Texas Tech in 2007 as a graduate assistant before being working his way up to head men's basketball strength and conditioning coach in 2011.
A 2006 graduate of Angelo State, Kuhn earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science before completing a master's degree in strength and conditioning at Texas Tech in 2010. In September, Kuhn was selected as a "Roots 66" honoree, a distinction that recognizes 66 of the most elite and impactful coaches, administrators, power brokers and visionaries in the industry. He holds certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES).
