
Soohoo Earns Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award

EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon men's tennis student-athlete Russell Soohoo has been named Oregon's male recipient of the Big Ten Conference Outstanding Sportsmanship Award, recognizing his sportsmanship, leadership, academic achievement and commitment to serving both his team and the community.
The Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award honors student-athletes who distinguish themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior while demonstrating respect for opponents, enthusiasm for competition and a commitment to always competing at their highest level. Recipients are also recognized for their involvement within their campus communities, good academic standing and citizenship beyond athletic competition.
Throughout his career with the Ducks, Soohoo has exemplified the values represented by the award. A respected teammate and competitor, he has consistently demonstrated integrity, humility and respect on the court while serving as a positive representative of Oregon men's tennis. Away from competition, Soohoo has been actively involved in community engagement initiatives and has maintained strong academic standing while on campus in Eugene.
