The second annual O Show will recognize the top performing Oregon student-athletes for achievements in athletics and academics. The event is free to the public and is held at Matthew Knight Arena. Below is the list of the nominees for the 2015-16 season:
FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR Awarded to the top performing freshman student-athlete
HIGDON AWARD Awarded to the top performing sophomore student-athlete
YAMANAKA AWARD - OREGON PRIDE Awarded to the student-athlete who epitomizes the spirit and passion of the Oregon Ducks
O HEROES AWARD Awarded to the student-athlete who makes the most impact in the community through the O Heroes Porgram
COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR Awarded to the student-athlete who has overcome an injury to make an exceptional comeback
MALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR Awarded to the best male student-athlete for the 2015-16 academic year
FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR Awarded to the best female student-athlete for the 2015-16 academic year
JACKSON AWARD Awarded to a female senior student-athlete on the basis of athletic ability, scholastic achievement, leadership ability and inspiration to other athletes
EMERALD AWARD Awarded to a senior male student-athlete on the basis of achievement in athletics, service and scholarship
