Heather Halseth

Heather Halseth joined the Oregon Athletic Medicine staff in 2005. She is currently the associate athletic trainer responsible for supervising and managing the healthcare of the University’s acrobatics and tumbling team. Heather also serves a clinical mentor in the University’s post professional athletic training program and oversees the Graduate Educator who also provides care for the acrobatics and tumbling team. Before Oregon, Halseth served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Boise State.

Halseth is a graduate of Chico State's physical education teacher education program. She then received her Master of Science degree in exercise and sports studies from Boise State University, where she served as a graduate assistant.

Heather’s professional interests include mental health for student athletes, concussions, emergency management, and the female athlete. Halseth is certified in many advanced clinical skills such as Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Kinesiotape, and Graston Technique. She is also an American Red Cross professional rescuer instructor and instructor trainer.

Heather’s professional service opportunities include serving on the University of Oregon Athletics Behavioral Health Management Team as well as the Pac12 Mental Health Task Force. Additionally, Heather serves as the President of the Oregon Athletic Trainers’ Society and is also serves as the vice chair on the state’s Board of Athletic Training.

Heather's husband, Travis, is also on the athletic medicine staff at Oregon. They reside in nearby Springfield, Oregon and enjoy spending time with their children Cade and Harper. The Halseths also enjoy the outdoors and traveling.
