Named a second-team freshman All-American by Baseball American (first base), the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (catcher) and Perfect Game (catcher) … Earned a spot on the Big Ten Conference All-Freshman … Selected to the Eugene Regional All-Tournament Team … Played in 49 games making 44 starts at four different positions (First Base – 22; Catcher – 15; Left Field – 6; Right Field – 1) … Slashed .318/.400/.534 with a .934 OPS … Finished third on the team in batting average behind senior Drew Smith and junior Ryan Cooney … Went 56-for-176 and finished with 17 extra-base squeeze bunt single … at Big Ten Tournament (May 23-24): Helped lead Oregon to the championship game of the conference tournament going 4-for-13 with two home runs, three RBI and two runs scored while slugging .667 in the three games … vs. Washington (May 23): Belted a solo home run to make it back-to-back jacks following Drew Smith’s bomb in the fifth inning to give Oregon a 5-0 lead in an eventual 9-4 win … vs. #20 Nebraska (May 23): Homered again in a semifinal win while driving in a pair of runs … Slugged a 2-run homer in the top of the seventh to make it 7-0 in an eventual 8-0 win … vs. #1 UCLA (May 24): Went 2-for-5 in the title game of the Big Ten Conference Tournament … Eugene Regional Tournament (May 29-31): Named to the all-regional tournament team after slashing .364/.462/.545 with a .826 OPS in Oregon’s three wins … Reached base six times (4-for-11, 2 BB) with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored … vs. Yale (May 29): Reached base four times (3-for-4, BB) with two doubles, a pair of RBI and two runs scored in a 14-2 win … Sparked Oregon to an early lead with an RBI two bagger in the first inning to make it 1-0 before scoring later in the inning to push the lead to 3-0 … Added an RBI double in Oregon’s 8-run eighth inning before scoring on Junior Lauaki’s 3-run home run … vs. #8 Oregon State (May 31): Went 1-for-4 in the regional title game helping UO win 4-1 … at Austin Super Regional (June 6-7): Reached base four times (2-for-7, 2 BB), drove in three runs and swiped a bag against Texas … Reached base twice in both games … Went 1-for-4 with an RBI in game one of the super regional … Drew a bases-loaded walk to score a run in the top of the sixth … Drove in two runs in game two of the supers going 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base … Cut the Longhorn lead to 4-3 with a RBI base knock in the bottom of the third before stealing second … Also drew a fifth-inning base on balls before giving UO a 5-4 lead with a RBI ground out in the seventh.
