Grant Wilson joined the Oregon athletic department in August 2013. Wilson is the head athletic trainer responsible for managing the healthcare for the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field teams. Before joining the Ducks full-time staff, Wilson worked as the senior associate athletic trainer at the University of Vermont.
Wilson graduated from Western Michigan University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. He later earned his master’s degree in athletic training at the UO where he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the Oregon football and softball teams. Grant has previously held internships with the Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns and has also worked at Arkansas State University where he was named Arkansas Athletic Trainer of the Year in 2006.
Grant’s professional interests include lower extremity and bone health related conditions. Wilson has also been in trained in Active Release Technique (ART). His professional service opportunities include serving on the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee as the District 1 and District 10 representative.
